The Dyke March is a protest march, not a parade -- we don't ask for a permit, because we have the right to protest. We recognize that we must organize amongst ourselves to fight for our rights, our safety, and for visibility. Thousands of dykes take over the streets every year in celebration of LBTQ women and to protest against ongoing discrimination, harassment, and anti-LBTQ violence in schools, on the job, in our families, and on the streets.

Gamers, I am a huge fan of Euro board games and wanted to create a fun group who share the same interests here in the city. This is a group with only two requirements: love movies and love LGBT people. We want to bring LGBT movie fans in NY together to see new LGBT films and then discuss them over drinks. But since we love movies as much as we love LGBT people, we may also take in other independent or art house movies, regardless of gay characters or themes. The Philosophy Forum is a discussion group for members of the LGBT community and SOFFAs (significant others, family, friends & allies). Over the course of more than a decade, we have discussed works from the canon of Western philosophy, texts of Asian philosophy, post-structuralist and contemporary philosophy, and non-philosophic texts — including literary texts — from the perspective of philosophy.
